XVI........<BR><BR>We are looking forward to a safe and merry war. This
year, Mistress Elspeth and<BR>myself are co-autocrating the Chirurgeon
area. I will be in charge of<BR>patient care, and Elspeth will be there to
keep everything running smooth<BR>with all of her expertise and past
experience. Please bring a copy of your<BR>current CPR certification,
First Aid, and warrant to leave with us for our records.<BR>Chirurgeon's Point
will be in the same location as last year. There will<BR>be a shift roster
available at Chirurgeon's Point. Please sign up for<BR>shifts at your
earliest convienence. We would like to make sure we have a<BR>least two
Chirurgeons on each shift so that if one has to leave to get a patient,<BR>the
other will be available at the tent to assist others.<BR><BR>We don't anticipate
some of the "challenges" we faced last year. This<BR>year the site has
been improved and I saw it today and it was nice and<BR>green. The first
year on a new site always is a challenge. We have spent<BR>much time
discussing some of the things that were not as smooth as we<BR>would have liked
last year. Although there will always be new unique<BR>things to work
through, I am confident we can do a good job and provide a<BR>safe time for
all.<BR><BR>We will be having an orientation meeting on Thursday afternoon at
4pm in<BR>Chirurgeon's tent. Please attend if possible as we will be
covering many<BR>things that we all need to be aware of. If you can not
attend, let me<BR>know and I will arrange to meet with you at another
time. We will also be<BR>meeting each day at Chirurgeon's point during the
armor inspection time.<BR>Please don't be late as we need the time to pair up,
discuss where we are<BR>going to stage, talk about radio communication, and get
us transported to<BR>the fighting area before the fighting begins. This
year the "Pit" area is<BR>almost twice as big, so we need to discuss some of the
complications this<BR>could cause us.<BR><BR>We welcome Chirurgeons of all
levels. Even those who think they would<BR>like to learn. There is a
