The Shire of Smythkepe is pleased to present MidSummer Knights Dream IX and the Feast of the Forbidden Fruit August 31, September 1,2 at the Rogers Scout Reservation at Ione, Arkansas. Site opens at 5pm on August 31 with a Traveler's Fare beginning at 7pm in the Feast Hall. Join us Friday night on the waterfront for our traditional Midnight Dagger Duel. On Saturday, join us for a day full of activities including fighting, children's activities, classes (to be announced) and another Smythkepe tradition: the Quest. Did I mention the Anvil Toss? We wouldn't be Smythkepe without the Anvil Toss! Join us Saturday evening for a sumptuous feast prepared by Smythkepe's own aspiring chefs (and don't blame us if you go away hungry). Following the feast, will be more activities including but not limited to the traditional Smythkepe Bardic Circle (sing a song, tell a tale, make a request). How much is it for all this? A mere $25 covers the whole weekend for Adults, $17 for children over the age of 5 (children under 5, are free). Discounts: SCA Members may deduct $5 per person; Day Trippers may deduct $3 with an additional $5 off for off-board(no feast). Early reservations (before August 15) may deduct an additional $5.
