Guess I will put my tuppence-worth  into this hot subject. Primarily
   about "troll" --I like it. Remember the fairy tale about a bridge and
   a troll?  It is whimsical, if one looks at the event as the desired
   object on the other side of the bridge and the registration as the
   "troll" keeping you (albeit temporarily) from getting to the fun.
   Gotta get past the troll to achieve desired end!  As for the rest of
   it, I wonder if we are taking things too seriously. I am all for being
   as authentic as I can but am not going to kill myself trying and mean
   to have fun in spite of clashing eras. :-)

       And kudos for whomever suggested  "gong farmer" for "sanitation
   control." He was the poor fellow that was responsible for mucking out
   the privy drains and middens.
