I am often at a lost whether to used my title or not. Sometimes I feel that I need show respect by being formal. Sometimes I think that I am pushing things to use them. When we are working on the SCA the organization we are all equal. The fact I have a Pelican might mean something about the quality of my work. The fact I once was the Crown might imply that at one time I was an authority on Ansteorra. When we play the game and create the kingdom of Ansteorra we all have roles to play. We learn by interaction. When I portray a Medieval Duchess I am teaching. When we are working on events and at business meetings I am just me, Lanphier Taylor. I am one of many people working on what we are doing. Most of the time when we are communicating on the list I am not in persona. I am a lady that has been in the SCA for 37 years is sort of  successful in the club.
