All right everyone lets discuss some ground rules. If we are talking persona sometimes one persona will say or do something that offends the other persona. We need to make sure that the person being talk to understand you are interacting with the persona not trying to hurt the person. For example a brigand of a past on age, Lord Hogen tries to steal and young lady of Scottish birth. He grabbed her and stated, "I am barbarian I steal woman!? Now this lady had clan brother right there and when five of them stood up and told Hogan to put her down because she was a barbarian lady and had kid Hogan answered, “I put good barbarian lady down and go find effete city woman with no brothers." This was good persona play because the Lady (me) really had kin. But what if she hadn't. Many of our personas are nestled in group of non -existing family members. We need to treat other personas as they were in a real social setting. It would be discourteous to treat a lady like she didn't have family to protect her. Sometimes we will play something to the point were we would really fight or in the case of some Japanese personas I know of commit suicidal. If we are not ready to go to the next step and that next step needs always to be in fun. (We never fight if we are really upset.) Than we need to do the pause button. If someone has insulted your persona and you the person felt the hurt stop for a moment, either walk away or get out of character and talk to the person. I have been known to do the time out hand signal. Talk to the person after the event or walk to an out of the way place and discuss the problem. Or do what Sir Randal did to Sir Richard. Sir Richard made a comment about the shrewish tongue of one of Sir Randal's Caldal sisters. Randal answered, " I would say anything else, because if you say anything else I would be forced to kill you and if I kill you your brother would be forced to kill me and my cousin would have to kill your brother and your uncle and my uncle would fight and this would go on until both of our families would be dead." Sir Richard saw the truth of this statement and changed the subject. If we see someone is being pushed to far then we should back down and change the subject. We need to talk to people off character to make sure that they understand what you are saying and doing is in character. Please keep the persona and the person behind the persona separate.
