I would like to invite everyone to debate subject with  us as we talk about persona. One of the reasons people are not playing any level of persona is we no longer have common language and clearly defined ideas. It is like the tower  of Babel and we are all speaking different languages. Some  of this is because we come from different generations and the terms have changed over time. Some times we a talking about the same thing but we sound like we are not. 
If we are to be able to interact on a persona level  we must understand each other. Often I am putting out a statement on the hopes that people will respond to it and see if they understand what I am saying. Sometimes these responses will be adamant. That is OK. It is OK to disagree. The main thing is for all of us to understand where we are coming from and reach a common ground. 
All thinking people should be able to disagree and still hold each other in respect. I feel like all our conversations up to this time have been with respect. 
As "Mother Ansteorra" I am touched with the honor you the people have given me, but I am still an active member of the SCA. If people are scared to say "boo" to me for fear of being thought disrespectful then I will be isolated from the life of the SCA. It will be like being  wrapped up in tissue and put up in the closet. A dear King told me once that was an "historical icon" therefore I was "protected". He also told me I had to be "good" because people didn't have a fair shake against me. I have been "good" for the last 10 years. I am very  unhappy because many of things I loved and found interesting have gone away. I am no longer being "good". Our good Prince Usted has told to "go ahead". Duchess Julia has said,"Just do it.".  I have been "not good" for about an year now and I am not unhappy with the results. 
Since I know some of you will disagreed with me I want you all to know that it is OK. I will not take offense if we fight fair. I hope everyone will allow  me this freedom. 
A fair fight is when we disagree over idea and if we said anything we discuss the ideas. We will not attack the individual. We need everyone in the Kingdom and the SCA. We cannot afford to chase anyone  away. If you look at the  Ansteorra Pelican circle you will see this policy in affect. Most of the Pelican circle has had major political battles with each other and can still sit down to dinner with respect. Someone from out of kingdom said,"You are the strangest bunch of politicians I have ever met. You can fight on Tuesday over something and then get together on something else on Wednesday. You just don't make sense." If you have been treated with courtesy you might be disappointed that you have lost but you are not hurt as a person.
