ARCH - Archery Competitions

Darcy here once again.  My but I am busy when I get a day off work.

I plan on sticking my foot in it here so I've already donned my asbestos
armor.

I have been thinking about the interkingdom archery competitions.   Now it
seems to me that if there were some way of holding an interkingdom combat
competition, other that wars, Ansteorrans would be in the forefront battling
it out for first place.  Yet I sense a disturbing attitude among the archers
of this great  kingdom that "it's too hard (whine)" to compete in the
interkingdom archery competitions.  That we are not good enough to compete
with the best archers in other kingdoms.

This, I say, is patently bullpucky.  Of course we are good enough to compete
with the best in other kingdoms.  We're Ansteorrans!  Mabe we won't win
first place this year or even next.  Building a strong archery program takes
time but, we have to start somewhere.

That's why Gilli and I sponsor the IntraAnsteorran archery competitions:  to
reward archers in this great kingdom (this year we have spiffy medallions
instead of combat ranges since we have expanded the competition to include
target as well as combat)
and to encourage people to shot in the interkingdom competitions.
