As I seldom make Elfsea I wish you well but probly will not be there.
Stargate and RF have their defender in Sept also and are closer. Have fun
and good luck with you shoots.

>Now, Plachoya may not like this, but I am paying
>attention here largely to get ideas for the archery
>tourney at Elfsea Defender in Sept. At that event
>(which will be very like a full-employment act for
>heralds), each archer will be heralded, hopefully by
>the herald he has himself hired for the purpose (think
>of it; you won't have to do your own bragging, someone
>will do it for you) Not court garb, but nice-looking
>field garb, like I wear when I fight. We hope to have
>nice prizes, too. The Bard of Elfsea this year is
>being flown to Trimaris to visit the Coronation of
>their next war-king (if we can get the details worked
>out). We'll have more airline tickets for use in 2001,
>and it's possible that those will go to our archery
>Defender of Elfsea (I don't get to make that decision
>alone).

As I take being champion very serious I would probly decline to be champion
with this info. I can not be sure of time off, but go for it and have fun

It will be scheduled first thing Saturday
>morning, and shot as a Royal Round, and the chivalric
>and rapier lists won't begin until it's done. I am
>hoping that this will generate excitement and interest
>in archery among people who haven't done much shooting
>before, and that it will be a refreshing change for
>folks who've been working the ranges in the heat off on
>the fringes of the events for years.
>
>(And afterwards, if there's interest, why not leave the
>range open for an IKAC shoot?)
>
>That's my vision. The people who've always run the
>shoots can't do this. My barony can. Does it sound
>worth trying?

Yes do it. Plachoya
