Agreed.  Actually I am a believer in early planning regardless of the
circustances.

Yes.  But even more, it needs to be promoted like the rest of the event.
If the Event Steward writes the copy for the Black Star ad without any
input from the Archery Coordinator, then it will likely fail.  So the
Archery Steward has to be in there pitching his part of the event at every
planning meeting.  That's the only way to protect the interests of the
archers.  We are few in number, so we have to make up for it in diligence.
