OK, I just got an Email from Steve Ralphs, the guy I'm getting the bow from,
the bow will be shipped either Wednesday or Friday when UPS calls.

Here's more information for any of you thinking about it. He doesn't take
credit cards. So you pretty much have to use Western Union. So with the
cost of the bow, shipping and Western Union charges it came to $199.20.

I'll give further updates later on. Stay tuned for film at 11. ;)

Don't look now, but, the top 3 in the IKAC period division from Ansteorra
are Lord Robert, Don Sebastian and HL Agnar. Keep on pluggin'.

All Right! Someone to compete with in the Period Bow Division! I
needed someone to motivate me to improve in that division. :-)

Lord Gilli, here is a link to the company I ordered my Longbow from:
http://www.selfbow.com/ Pacific Yew Inc.,
run by Jay St. Charles himself (co-author of "Traditional Bowers Bible:
vol. 3") 74" long!, Bigger is Better! hehehe You'll save on shipping,
but I don't think you'll get near the $70 price range.

Greetings and Hi There,

Well, I got to pick out my own birthday present. And I got me a good
one.

Thanks to Lord Robert giving me the web site for a Grandmaster bow maker
there in England (same guy that made the bows for Brave Heart), I will
soon have a period bow that was made in the land of my persona. I'm
getting a basic Sherwood bow fitted with horn nocks.

The price of the bow itself isn't that bad about $70. But the shipping
is terrible, 80 - 90, he said.

Here's the website

Happy days,

Gilli
