In the past, this all would have been too true.

While the attitudes of many haven't changed one little bit, the cost thing
has.

WE now have some passed APDs that are useable.  Several more are in the
works, mine included.  Fearghus has said Kingdom rules will be modified to
accommodate only needing the tube style APD and no fletches.  For new
construction using fiberglass, UHMW heads and tube APDs the cost per arrow
just went down.
