Their archery range was a ways away form things. I shot the IKAC on
Thursday. Folks, let me tell you, it was a humbling experience. I was
shooting with a fellow using a crossbow, he knew how to use it. As an
example his 2 speed rounds at the 20 were 37 and 39, each getting off 8
bolts. His final score was a 323!!!!!!. Yeap, I was there and saw it all.
I said, "My Lord, please tell me your from a Kingdom that's shooting for
Ansteorra." He just smiled and chuckled. My performance was nothing to
write home about, so I won't go there.

For one reason or another, I didn't make it over there to shoot for the war
point.

For one reason or another, I didn't see too much of the battles.

When we load those arrow boxes, we pack them in pretty tight. However,
after all was said and done, I don't think anyone had the desire to take
that much time. So they went back in the boxes as best they could. We
still had two cart loads of arrows in all sorts of conditions to pack up.
So we took the tarp we used as a ground cloth for our tent, dumped the
arrows in the middle, wrapped it up with duck tape. We called the resulting
body bag looking thing "Earl" and threw it in the back of the trailer.

Will some of you who were there fill the rest of us in on
the archery happenings ar War.

It would be real nice to hear about any "problems" from
an Ansteorran perspective since all the chat on the SCA
Missle Combat list has basically come from other kingdoms.

Let not sure hear about problems. SDOmeone also give us
a run down on what we did good and which archers
distinguished themselves.

Regards,

Eadric

PS: If/when we do start talking about a more
standardized bolt/arrow lets make sure that somewhere in
there we talk about the Mass of the projectile.
