Now that's the part that has me baffled.  How are you doing the taper?

Well I'm making 120 myself.

Probably 300 would be a good number. There were several times in the
fort battle where more would have been damn good. The crossbows work
very well through the crenulations.

Btw, my plan is 15 1/2" shafts and taper the UHMW for the back 1/2 of it.
