Michael of the Fray here. I have been doing combat archery since I
joined the SCA - 2 years. I have training with the Fray. I only do
combat archery.

Currently, I am in the process of building another 100 combat
arrows/cross bolts for War. These will be UHMW with the Ansteorran Golf
Tube (GT) APD.

I have another combat archer that I working with to get to Gulf War with
her cross bow. Issues involved are building her armor - The Fray is
having a armor workshop this Saturday. The armor workshops will continue
as along as there individuals who need armor.

There may be one or two more archers who will take the field at Gulf
War. Once again, armor is the issue and of course re-fitting arrows with
APD's or just building new ones. I am using the design that is called
"Ansteorran" that Ld Gilli submitted and has been approved.

I have currently 50 combat arrows - either Baldar or UHMW combat heads.

I have conducted a arrow making workshop for the Fray couple of times in
the last 6 months and will continue such workshops right up to Gulf War
XI. As well as conducting drills in working with a shieldwall, plus
movement drills to allow a "shoot and run" approach to open field
battles. I put these drills to work - with the latest event at Three
Kings. Each time I take the field - come back with more knowledge and
modified some more on these drills.
