Well, it's actually the InterKingdom symbol for non contact combat archers.
I didn't know it till I looked it just before I asked the question.  Sorry,
cheap shot.

While this is a small sampling, I think it shows my point.  Just because
it's on some web site somewhere, doesn't mean the information has gotten
into the hands of the folks who are going to use it.  Unless that little tid
bit of info is someone's pet project, it may not be observed.
