Good Morning,

To help keep the number of messages down, I'll reply to both of your
  messages at once.

> Yes he can be one of the commanders for a battle, we all can. But, has for

I must have misunderstood what the following tag line meant then:

----
Michael of the Fray
Combat Archer for the Fray
Fray Archer commander (since 2000)
Greater Fyrd
----

That lead me to believe that he was the commander of the archers for the
Fray. I'm sorry that I misunderstood what that meant.

  Of course not.

While your unit may be acting as one, the Kingdom is not. I agree that
the archers should not abandon the troups to be slaughtered, but
completely ignoring the Kingdom commands is not acceptable either if you
wish to be part of the Ansteorran Army.

I'm sorry. That is not at all what I read him saying in the following:

>> > When I take the field with Fray, I have already received my main
>> > instructions, with secondary options - all based upon the fluid actions
>> > of the forces in play on the field.
>> >

As I read that, he and the Fray will not listen to anyone except the
Fray commanders no matter what the the General of the Armies or the
Commander of the Archers tries to tell them. This tells me that the
Fray are not a unit of the Ansteorran army, but a rogue unit on the
field that does what they want. They just happen to be fighting on the
same side as Ansteorra at this time.

You have stated similar things in your message above where you stated
that your archers will not leave the unit nor do anything but follow
  the Fray plans exclusively.

Ciao,
