You can shoot missiles at people wearing Red Pheons.


Red Pheons indicate ANY troop that is a non-contact combattant and is not
limited to archers.  This might be an archer much could be a siege engineer,
javalineer, slinger, or just a support person on the filed carrying ammo back
and forth or something like that.  You can shoot at these people all you want
but you can not hit them with Rattan.  They are dead any time an emey
apporaches within 10 ft.

Archers CAN wear Red Pheons butthey are not requried to.  If you are not
afraid to get hit and would like the flexibility of being able to pick of a
sword and shield when needed then dont wear read pheons and you are a full
contact archer who can be hit just like anyone else.


White Diamonds are for NON COMBATTANTS.  These people may NEVER be targetted
by any weapon including bows arrows or any other missile.  A personb wearinga
white diamond may never carry anything that might cause them to be mistaken
for a combattant.  For instance they can not carry a staff that might be
mistaken for a spear or sword and they cant carry a shield
