[Ansteorra-archery] Question on weight/draw poundage

When i used to shoot in overdraw competition there was
a formula that dictated how light a shaft you could
shoot before you started doing damage to the limps on
the compound. If the arrow was to light - you might as
well be dry firing, to heavy and you didn't get the
flat shot.


So in crossbows, is there a grain per pound that you
need to follow? or does it not matter in relation to
steel prods, short spans and short strokes? They idea
of a flat shot/light missile seems to be appealing but
how far can one go before it blows up?
