You raise an interesting point with this.  I shoot a right-handed 
recurve bow, because that's what I was given.  But I'm legally blind in 
my right eye.  My shots tend toward being a little to the left of where 
I am, so I compensate by aiming to the *right* of where I mean to hit 
the target.  Not exact by any means. ;)

If anyone wanted to trade bows with me...;)
