I disagree about needing to use the bow index finger to hold the arrow
while the archer is in motion...

I have been training to move while loading and shooting either forward
or backwards or side ways with a full gauntlet on my bow hand. Have no
problem with it!

Second thing this is about combat and not static should be moved to the
Ansteorra Missile list and not on the static archery list.

The use of the bow hand index finger to hold the arrow while the archer is in motion is a great advantage. If it is felt that a guantlet is need for safety reasons then I would ask for either an allowance for the index finger to slip out from behind the shell or perhaps a guantlet that only covers the three lower fingers and allows the index finger to be exposed.
