[Ansteorra-archery] Pomp and Ceremony

I've been to both styles of events. I tended to see the same folks at both. I liked playing with the Pomp and Ceremory on the field and a little in court. But watching only was booooriiing and slow. The later period events to me is more apt for the Pomp and Ceremony then Early but I know a few will disagree with me. It's like I heard before we each have our own idea of what's fun and together it makes it fun to be there because we help each other in our dreams of what we want.

I'm always keen on more pomp and ceremony. It definitely lends to recreating the atmosphere of somewhere other than the here and now. Yeah, so it might make things a little longer here or there, but we're here so everyone can enjoy themselves, not rush through the formalities.

Please don't forget to tip your herald and try the veal.

      Greetings and Hi There,

Folks, I got 2 questions (OH NO). Which would you all prefer to see and do: have more pomp and ceremony to conducting the Royal Huntsman or just go out there and get it shot and over with?

Now by more pomp and ceremony I mean like a order of march to present the shooters to Their Highness and Crown (perhaps with personnel heralds), Honor shield to denote who's shooting (like the heavies use for Crown).

And, if it were more pomp and ceremony would you be more or less likel to particpate? For this question, let's assume that attending the event is not a problem.

      Gilli
Shoot more arrows. You're bound to hit something.
