[Ansteorra-archery] How old?

We do not run with a specific set of youth rules. Our requirements are:
1. a parent/guardian must observe several fighter practices before giving
their permission for their child's involvement
2. a parent/guardian must sigh a waiver for each practice the child attends
3. a parent/guardian must sign the fighter card
4. the Principality EM or designate must sign off on the fighter card
5. once the fighter card is in place we strongly encourage the youth fighter
to send away for a membership (blue card)
6. local to Avacal and specifically in the Shire of Vinjar... we start them
in CA and place them under an experienced fighter's care and guidance. These
children become Pages.

This system works for us as our mundane laws are not as restrictive. Our two
experienced youth fighters Lucius and Ursa are excellent on the war field
and have respectable IKCAC scores. We have had three other youth fighters go
through this system. They are now of legal age and fighting heavy ... gone
to the "Dark Side" as we say.

It seems the folks in An Tir may be a bit more progressive in their
thinking.

Would it be possible for you to send us a copy of your Youth rules and how
your Kingdom does it?  Perhaps, with some modifications, it could be made to
work here.  That is if the "Powers That Be" want it to.
