[Ansteorra-archery] Youth Archery Division

Yes there will be some open shooting. It will tend to be before and after
competitions both days. If people want to shoot during the Archer's Flight
luncheon and someone is willing to run the range, they are welcome to do so.
Being from the cooler clime's of An Tir, the heat is not kind to me so I am
going to have to pace myself a bit and pass off the non competition stuff to
someone else. Either that or you guys will be carrying me off by the time
the Steppes Archer competition begins.

I think it should be said that only mad dogs, Englishmen and Ansteorrans go
out in the mid day sun :) This will be my second whole summer here. I'm
really trying to enjoy the heat, but MAN! my poor web-footed brain does
suffer.

At the big events, there is usually lots going on, that is true. And having
a Novice or Bowman competitions are GREAT.

Are you having any OPEN shooting during Warlord? I hope so. That would be
the perfect time to do it. Just add a couple of extra targets. Need a few
more? Just let me know and I'll bring some.

Folks, I wouldn't be bring this up if I have seen a need and been asked by
mothers, "Why isn't there something for my child, etc. etc. etc?" I got
people now who could and would shoot in this new division. And if others
knew, I'm sure they would too.

I think it's worth a shot for a couple of years. If there's no more
participation in it than the Children's Division, we can stop it.

But this is doable.

Gilli
The more arrows you loose, the more that can hit GOLD.
