Greetings fellow archers,
The other day, while looking at the SCA archery page, I stumbled across a
nifty article on how to make arrows into whistling arrows using little more
than ping pong balls and an Exacto knife. How cool? And, I'm here to tell you,
the silly things shriek like a bottle rocket. Want to lure more folks down to
the archery range at your next event? Loose a couple volleys of these bad boys
and you'll have a crowd on hand in a hurry ;-)
Shot my first official period division scores with my new 60 lb. hickory
longbow this morning. A 186 IKAC, and a 74 Royal Round, are okay, I guess, (need
more practice) but I was still plenty tickled with the way my home made bow
performed. Got two more bows in the works, and a new hickory stave just arrived
for a third. Now if I can just come up with a use for all the dadgum
woodshavings.
Hope you all had a chance to get out on this excellent spring day and shoot
some scores. What a beautiful morning to "spring ahead". ;-)

 Cheers,
Robert of Yorkshire
