You're the list admin. You decide. *grin*

That being said, I already voted against separate lists.

Importance: High

OK this is probably a good time to think about this administratively.

Do we see any real need to continue to have separate Missile Combat and
Target Archery lists?

There are 67 subscribers to the Missile list and 166 to the Archery list.

There are only 22 people subscribed to the Missile list that are not also
subscribed to the target list? A couple of those subscribers are from
outside Ansteorra and therefore not the primary audience.

Both lists are relatively low traffic lists. There was a grand total of 98
messages posted to missile combat list last year and a total of 156 messages
to the archery list.

It looks like there were about 74 messages unique to the Missile list that
were not crossposted to the archery list.

So, since in Ansteorra we have largely a blended archery community of both
Target and Combat Archer's does it make sense to continue to have two
separate lists?

If the lists were folded together those only on the target archery list
would receive another message and half per week and those on the missile
list would receive about an extra 3 messages per week.

Obviously having a single list would avoid some confusion, avoid
crossposting, and reduce a tiny amount of administrative overhead for the
list admins.

What to ya'll think?

Thanks Eadric,

That helps a lot. It sounds like the ansteorra-archery at ansteorra.org list
really isn't the list for me....yet. I haven't done any target
archery...unless the target is a Trimarian:).

Hey Eadric,

OK thanks. But I guess since I'm also a CA I can stay here too:).

There are items of interest to "archers" on both lists so certainly
stick around. But, I wanna make sure I was clear.

--------------------
If your concerns or questions are primarily Target Archery such as:

    * How do I fletch arrows?
    * How do I find or become a Target Archery Marshal?
    * Help me with the Royal Rounds
    * Help me with the IKAC
    * etc.

Then the list, ansteorra-archery at ansteorra.org , is primarily the
place you should go.

--------------------
If your concern is primarily Combat Archery with questions like:

    * How do I make legal combat arrows/bolts?
    * How do I get CA authorized?
    * How do I find or become a CA Marshal?
    * What is the best APD or blunt to use for...?
    * Where can I find a combat legal bow?
    * etc.

The the list, ansteorra-missile at ansteorra.org is the place to go for
things that are missile combat related.

--------------------
There are some topics that may be applicable to both where it might be
appropriate to cross-post. Questions such as:

    * Can somebody teach me to twist a bowstring?
    * Can somebody teach me to make a bow?
    * Event announcements for events that will include both Target and
      Combat Archery.
    * etc.

--------------------
The kingdom marshals maintain separate lists just for the warranted
marshals to cover administrative items such as:

    * It's time to report.
    * Changes to reporting structure/process/information needed.
    * Pending rules changes where marshal input is requested.
    * etc.

You can't "subscribe" to the marshals lists on your own. The kingdom
marshals have to add you to those lists.
