I stand (well, sit) corrected then. It had been my understanding that AC 
authorization was required for CA, and that was what our Barony's new 
combat archer had been told (by someone other than me) as well. I had 
thought it fell under those 'kingdom procedures' alluded to in the CPH, 
but not spelled out anywhere I can find them.
On that note, perhaps the Marshalate ought to give some thought to 
putting some kind of authorization standards and procedures down in 
writing. I've seen authorizing marshals run authorizations any number of 
ways; not necessarily wrong but not always looking at the same things.
Just a thought.
