[Ansteorra-archery] Third Quarter 2008 Royal Round Keeper Report

This is perhaps true but if you get the number on the line it can be done fairly quickly.  We have done as high as 34 archers in 2 hours at Warlord as part of the Bowman's tourney.  It generally takes about 30 minutes to shoot a Royal Round for a line of archers and you can usually get at least 2 and sometimes as high as 4 archers per target round.

The reason I have an average is that I shot an IKAC (and therefore had a RR extracted from that) at Bordermarch Baronial. Some events lend themselves to be able to do just as you suggest and I think personally that it's a great idea. However not all events  can do this. Having just helped run the Gate's Edge event this weekend, we just had way too many people competing to make allowances for folks to shoot RRs. 
 
It's a great idea though.
