[Ansteorra-archery] Material used to bind the prod?

Greetings all, I have read about some of the different materials used to
bind the prods but most look to modern to me and I would like it to have a
more period appearance..it doesn't have to be the true period sinew.but what
will work.not stretch and such but still have a "close" appearance?
