The question was asked is  Samuel ap Dewi he indeed the first person to 
achieve a 105 average or higher?

He is.

Before we started using this new automated system the highest averages 
previously achieved by anyone was

    * Robert of Yorkshire who achieved an official average of 99 in the
      open bow division
    * Ulrich of Carolingia who achieved a 93 in the open crossbow division
    * Sebsastian Frobishire and Robert of Yorkshire both achieved
      official averages of 75 in the period bow division
    * William Blackdragon achieved an official average of 87 in period
      crossbow division.
