[Ansteorra-archery] a question about arrows

While at war, I saw some UMHW arrows that had been tool dipped. Has anyone 
else done this? They looked nice and flew really well for the guy using 
them. Wondering how well they last etc. Also wondered if you should thin 
down the tool dip with some thinner before dipping/brushing.
