*First Quarter 2009 Ansteorran Royal Round Keeper Report*

Despite winter weather we had another good quarter for the Royal 
Rounds.  The marshals have generally done a very good job in keeping up 
with their scores submissions.

I have received a number of complaints from archers who are concerned 
with the timeliness of the administration of the Inter-Kingdom Archery 
Competition.  For the 2008 season the IKAC Scorekeeper was as much as  5 
months behind on his scorekeeping and for 2009 the scorekeeper has at 
the time of this report not approved even a single score that has been 
submitted.  This has clearly eroded confidence in the IKAC 
administration.  I have voiced these concerns to the IKAC keeper and 
hope that action is taken soon.  However, I am obliged to remind our 
archery community that the IKAC is a privately sponsored competition and 
it's administration is not answerable to any Kingdom or SCA Office.

For the Ansteorran Royal Rounds there are currently 46 Ansteorran 
archers with official averages in one or more divisions and and a total 
of 155 Ansteorran archers in the database.  Since we have only been 
using the new scores system for about 8 months, that means there are at 
the very least 155 target archers active in Ansteorra in the past year. 

The Barony of Namron along with her Canton of Skorragarðr lead the 
kingdom with the highest number of averages with the Barony of Northkeep 
not far behind.

Congratulations to Sam of Northkeep who has achieved a Huntsman average 
(85 or better) in Open Bow, Open Crossbow, and in Period Crossbow.
