greetings

to which archery range are you refering ?
northkeeps archery range is still mostly snow covered, with the butt area having warmed faster , being wet and messy .

the thrown weapons range has the same conditions at this time.
with more snow forcast for saturday night and sunday, i don't forsee the range being ready for use for northkeeps 1st practice date 1-3-2010.

  Good Morning,

Now that the holidays are getting behind us, I want to encourage everyone
to start preparing for war. As part of that, in a few weeks the Centurions
are hosting a *FREE* event to learn many aspects of the combat arts and
related supporting activities. This event is being held the weekend of
January 15-17 at the Castleton site in the Barony of Bryn Gwlad.

I have volunteered to assist with the Combat Archery portion of the event.
To further that, I have several people helping out including members of the
Arc d'Or and Ansteorra's Chivalry. If you are interested in assisting with
this effort or have specific classes you want to teach, let me know and we
  will work you in.

At this time, we've put together suggestions for classes, but depending on
the audience will craft things for the need of the day. It is our intent to
have discussion and hands-on training including CA and CA Marshal
authorization as needed. Not to mention that all of the melees on Saturday
and Sunday will have Combat Archery in them.

To find out more about the event, you can go to the website at:

  http://www.io.com/~caladin/CenturionEvent/CenturionEvent.htm

No matter if you are an experienced Combat Archer or just someone just
getting started, this will be an enjoyable and learning event.

No matter what your interest in combat, I look forward to seeing you at
  the event!

  Ciao,

  Phelim Gervase called Pug
