Good People and Archers of Ansteorra:

Bring ye bows of oak and yew
and arrows shafted straight and true.
Join us by the water's edge
your arrow's flight to fully fledge.

Celebrate the day with us
a tournament most virtuous,
as Bryn Gwlad a champion names
from archers best at all our games.

At Castleton on Saturday morn
an archer's field we shall adorn
with targets still and moving and clever
against which ye archers with bows will endeavor.

So join us by the water's edge
And to your team allegiance pledge
to loose your arrows straight and true
at Bryn Gwlad's "Celebration of Virtue."

Bryn Gwlad Celebration of Virtue Archery Tournament
Inspection begins 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30
Tournament begins at 10 a.m. with several qualifying rounds featuring standard and period targets, still and moving targets, and a timed round.
Top archers will qualify for the championship round to be held at 4 p.m., the winner of which will be named Bryn Gwlad Champion.

Immediately following the championship round, a youth tournament will be held for archers age 17 and under.

A "team point" structure will allow all archers to earn points for their SCA group. The winning team will be awarded a longbow to add to their program's loaner equipment.

Loaner equipment will be available for all events. The archery range will be available for open shooting between the qualifying rounds and the championship round, pending marshal availability.

Royal Rounds will be offered on Sunday, Oct. 31, at 9 a.m.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

In Service to Bryn Gwlad and Ansteorra,
