[Ansteorra-archery] Royal Huntsman - Special Tourney Rules***

I feel the same way about having no desire to be cracked with a stick by someone twice my size (most heavy fighters are twice my size). I see where our difference lies at now. And I believe I may have spoke out of turn. Initially I was under the impression that if 20 archers compete and the top 8 from the target portion are to advance, but only 4 are ca, then only those 4 will advance. But you believe the top 8 ca archers will advance regardless of how many target archers score higher. I apologize for provoking your frustrations in this matter. That being said, I still think it would be nice for all of us to show up to have some fun. I hope to see you there, and give me an opportunity to apologize in person, and to hopefully compete against (in the first half hahaha).

There's a good reason why the other road is less traveled

It does not mean that much to me as I have no desire to do combat archery, spend the money on equipment, or be hit in the head with a stick. Even if you go and do extremely well in the preliminary rounds you will not be knocking out anyone out of the finals since non CA can not enter.

>> It would seem a few people might be a little upset over the rules for the next tourney for royal huntsman. i understand your frustrations, and with great respect, might i add; As a strict target archer (with minor interest in combat archery) I would say that the standards the current royal huntsman has set for the next competition are very fair and make perfect sense. If you are to be an archer who would stand at TRM side, then you should be deemed the best of the best, and you should be held to a higher standard than just being a target archer. Or otherwise put, you better be prepared to fight for them. I know that I, myself, would not be able to win this particular tourney due to my lack of interest in combat archery. But that will not not stop me from exhibiting my skills as a target archer. I, for one, will be at the tournament for the royal huntsman to test any archers skill on the field. If they cannot best me with targets then they are not worthy to protect my king and queen. I would challenge all the archers of Ansteorra to do the same. Join us in helping to select the most skilled Archer to protect our crown.
