I agree! And the MICs should use that discretion to do the best they can to
work with special needs and to help make it fun for them to participate
also.

With that, we need to understand that some of the events only have a 2 hour
window for the adults and a 1 hour window for the children so we do not
have a lot of time at an event to give special attention. I also try to
counsel marshals that are going to be running a children's shoot that they
should have at least one target that they expect EVERY child to score on. I
do not like to see a child ever go and get a complete zero and never score.
I know we want to select a champion but we also want to build the community
and the children and the SCA.
