my grill do I complain about it. Except a bee that that did drive my crazy
untill I got my helm off before he could sting me. It was in the middle of a
melee at that. ran like hell to the side lines and helm flew off. Marshels were
worryed until I yelled bee inb my helm.</SPAN></DIV>

want to do it in such a way so they do get the oinon juice in there
eyes. That limits those many way down to those that keeps their eyes
safe. There's only four I know of. 1) Have some one else do, 2) Peel it
under water, 3) Peel it with a shop vac right there to get the onion juice,
and 4) Wear protective eye wear.</FONT></DIV>

But the real question doesn't lie in what can be done to make it safer.
The real question is how safe is safer? As long as there is a chance the
back end of the arrow can get inside the helm there will be, however remote, a
chance it will make it to the eye. What chance out of a million, a
billion, a trillion is exceptable to you and the SEM? Because as long as
there is a chance, it can happen. There are only 3 thing I know of that
will reduce the chance to ZERO: 1) Don't have combat archery, 2) Make the back
end bigger, in a noncollaspeable manner, than the openings of the helm, 3)
Personnel eye protection that will not allow contact with the eye by a foreign
object.</FONT></DIV>

Once we know that, then, possibly an answer to that question can be

the game we are playing. Then it will be done. We are currently
testing for standards to better check crossbows and standard
ammunition. The technology being used has gotten past the standards
that have been used in the past. Without data to support a conclusion
either way. If a marshall requests your cooperation in the testing,
please help them.</DIV>

to require you to have some sort of bulbous nock or<BR>other ABD on your
arrow or bolt. If this happens every combat arrow and<BR>bolt
in this Kingdom will have to be redone. And many crossbows will at
a<BR>minimum have to be reworked.<BR><BR>I am for eye safety.
Current SCA rules allow the participant to use one of<BR>several forms
personnel eye protection. Personnal eye protection is the<BR>answer,
not making the arrows harder to use.<BR><BR>I ask you to join with me and
express your displeasure at this movement to<BR>your Regional Archery
Marshal, Kingdom Archery Marshal, Kingdom Earl<BR>Marshal, Crown, the
Board of Directors and Society Officers. Consult your<BR>Black Star
