
<html><div style='background-color:'><P>Greetings all,<BR><BR> >HL Eadric Anstapa >DSEM CA   Asked concerning youth participation on Target ranges:</P> >Should it be left up to the marshal in charge? > >Or should the next set of Ansteorran Target Archery rules say >something about it? > <BR><BR>My opinion is that it should be left to each marshall in charge.  Despite effort to be uniform in the layout of ranges, there are always differences due to geographical differences.  The same marshal will set up differently on each site to best use the site, now add in the people factor.  The number of people at a given site can change things alot.  Sometimes adding a bunch of well meaning parents or grandparents who are not particularly knowledgable can do more harm than good, dependant on the people and the marshall.  There a some

minors that have better equiette and range knowledge than those much older than they( one example that comes to mind James Bunnyson).  With the youth archers it has been a judgment call and I think it should continue to be.  This is only one opinion.<IMG height=19 src="http://graphics.hotmail.com/i.p.emsmiled.gif" width=19><BR>
