<P><FONT size=2>We are aware of the Society Seneschals Handbook which has the
following:</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2>Ministry of Children - Suggestions for Officers</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2>A. Children at Events</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2>2. No children under the age of five should ever be left
unsupervised by their parents/guardians, even at planned children's
activities.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2>3. Older children should be checked on periodically by parents
or guardians to ensure their safety and suitable behavior.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2>4. Children under 12 are not suitable baby-sitters for younger
children. Parents should arrange for a responsible adult or older teen to
supervise young children if they have SCA activities that do not include
children.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT size=2>5. All parents/guardians should know where their children are
and be aware of what they are doing at all times while at SCA functions. If a
child is endangering himself or others or causing excessive problems, the
autocrat, children's activity coordinator or other concerned adult should
approach the parent concerning the problem. This should be done with tact and
courtesy with the expectation that the parent will handle the situation with
their own child.</FONT></P></DIV><BR>

a "combat" activity. Each branch can be as strict as they like, each
marshal in charge of a range can be as strict on his range as he feels is
appropriate.<BR><BR>In general down here we require the
parent/guardian/designated-adult to be with the child while they are at the
range.<BR><BR>Should it be left up to the marshal in charge? <BR><BR>Or
should the next set of Ansteorran Target Archery rules say something about

competitions, specifically, are parents required to be present for minors to
shoot in target competitions, or will a responsible adult, responsible for
that child only, be acceptable.And the same question pertaining to
practices. I know the rules for contact events but can't find coresponding
