<DIV>I fear people that are not willing to push the envelope and
won't think outside the box M'lord Arcus Jaque. Honor to me is a lot of things
it is to you, or anyone i suppose. But also it is to try ideas,
learn from those ideas and expand on them within the scope of our
game, using the ideas of a people from long ago. Perhaps i have it wrong as i
have seen it written, and heard it said that documentation is null and void in
this titled shoot. A sad day.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Me shooting with or without sights is nothing. I shot triple digits today
without them as i did with them. Does it matter what form i use?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>This arguement is like a fighter complaining that someone is using a pike
to thier sword. Something that would be deemed unhonorable in my opinion, yet
i hear from a select few that me using -------> PERIOD
<-------- methods in the game we play is, and could be, construde as
unhonorable. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Well then i ask you as an arcus what is honor? what is learning? and
aren't the arcus suppose to teach both? As top tier shooters, are we supposed
to lead the way in idea, form and function? are we not supposed to expand
using ------> PERIOD <------- ideas and teach, play and follow those
things in a game we enjoy so much? </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I am no arcus, and i might have that idea wrong, but thats what I feel
and follow in my heart. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I make my own gear and have a honest desire in my heart to
follow in the footsteps of a people from 700 years ago. If that makes me
unhonorable on the field of today in a game we play, then i guess i am
unhonorable. After all, i am a crossbowman. But none the less proud to be one
as it does take skill to score high with a crossbow. If it did not take skill,
then everyone would be posting high scores. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I look forward to seeing you on the field this weekend and pray we can
shoot side by side.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>

A most telling jibe Milord Ulrich given your past accomplishments without a
sight. It does bring up an interesting point with regard to the honor
involved or lack thereof when those with sights compete against those who
shoot without and what the measure of skill is. Given some individuals
backgrounds as military sharpshooters and a crossbows similarity to a rifle
it should be most interesting to see their records with regard to the use of
sights or not. Yet at least one individual that I know of does not use
sights simply due to the challenge and lack of honor in besting an opponent
that does not use them- and yet he scores well with bow or crossbow. I
shudder at what one such as he would do given the use of sights.

(PDT)<BR>><BR>> So i would assume range marks on bows and a form of
kisser button on<BR>> crossbow stocks are not allowed either as they have
gone unnoticed in<BR>> the past?<BR>><BR>> Is that also to say that
period sights that are documentable such as<BR>> peep sights (which were

ruling in period shoot that the period sights<BR>> were allowed like the
thumb board.<BR>><BR>><BR>> Need a clear ruling as i see they are
not allowed and then it is said<BR>> to stay period. In my arena of play
(crossbows) i can document sights<BR>> where a bow can not - but bows DO
show up with range marks on limbs<BR>> and wrapped neatly into strings,
decoration etc. If thats not allowed<BR>> what provisions are being made
for that? I run screws in my stock in a<BR>> form of a kisser button to
give me the same hold on the c! rossbow every<BR>> shot. Screws can be
removed - problem solved - but someone who have<BR>> wrapped thier riser
or limb will have to take the bow apart - hardly<BR>> fair or cool to ask
in my opinion.<BR>><BR>> Don't get me wrong - i to would hate to see

they can document the period<BR>> use and follow the rules of open class

far and now they are unclear again.<BR>><BR>><BR>> Pug bring your
