If I remember right, <A href="http://www.Alcheminc.com">www.Alcheminc.com</A> shows how to help with that...you drill out a hole in the nut and insert a steel rod which you cut to fit the tickler. I think its one of their links in the lower part of their crossbow section. if you do it correctly, that should work.<BR>

You might want to try the plastic or aluminum again but add a strip of steel/brass were the nut and trigger meet. It doesn't have to be very thick and you can epoxy it in place. Should save on the wear and tear. This should give you a rough idea of what I mean. Master Iolo has been doing his this way with wooden nut and it seems to work. <DIV>I have a crossbow that is in need of repairs but i don't know who could fix it. If you go onto the site "by the sword" there is a xbow at the $225 price, that is my bow. The problem is the roller nut keeps wearing out do to a cheaply made crossbow. Basically it has the cut out 90 degree angle on the bottom that allows the trigger to hold the roller, when you fire, it basically wears out the roller until it no longer has enough left on it to hold the weight of the string. It orginally came with a plastic roller which wore out, i then had an aluminum roller made which also wore out so can anyone make a titanium or hardened steel roller lol.. Just wondering if anyone knows someone who is good with crossbows.. I would like to shoot it again one day.<BR> </DIV>
