WalMart and various craft stores have 2mm thick self adhesive foam
sheets that can be used for the side wraps.  Depending on the rest of
your materials you may need one or two layers.  Its EVA foam and should
hold up quite well.<br>

Your mileage may wary.  This is just a quick survey of selection and
prices at easy to find stores in the Houston area for the foams that
are suitable for the side wraps.<br>
<br>
The same stores also carry the non-adhesive sheets which are a little
less expensive and they also carry single sheets and larger single
sheets.  <br>
<br>
In the non-adhesive single sheet selection Joanns also carries the
thicker stock in 3mm and 6mm if you needed a little more thickness and
only wanted to make a single layer wrap.<br>
