modified , usualy stating that it is for " safety reasons " .

ways. over reacting to false statements can cause just as much trouble as making
false statements.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>please don't let the words of a few loud nay sayers ,
prompt anything less than an honorable response . </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>remember , our kingdom , doesn't suffer so much from this

<DIV><BR></DIV>It never fails. Fear ruins everything. I have been doing this
for a heck<BR>of a long time and have seen ZERO injuries due to combat
archery. I have<BR>seen injuries due to poor helmet fit, bad armor strapping,
poor fighting<BR>ability, lack of fitness, poor shield design, and about a
dozen other<BR>things. I think what we have is a bunch of "invincibles" who
get their<BR>panties in a wad because a lowly "peasant" can take them out with
a well<BR>placed shot. Their answer is to make arrows that SUCK! Why don't we
just<BR>make our swords out of siloflex too! That way no body can get hurt
when<BR>someone strikes them.<BR>This is another example of why the SCA will
one day be no better than a<BR>role-playing fantasy group. Maybe we should all
carry multi sided dice<BR>and we can just throw them at each
