Rank beginners are as welcome as long time shooters. Loaner gear may be available (don't bet on it) and we will even show you which way to hold the bow and point the arrows if needed.</DIV>

<DIV>Once again it is time for Warlord and, once again, a Bowman's (aka novice) tourney will be sponsored. Prize as always will be an approximately 35# wood longbow. Possibly components for a dozen arrows as well if they arrive in time.</DIV>

<DIV>Rules:</DIV>
<DIV>1. You must be shooting at a level of Royal Round equal to 45 points or less. Your honorable word is sufficient although your scores help back it up. </DIV>
<DIV>2. This Tourney is open to archers as well as crossbowmen but only archers shooting bows will be considered for the prize. Traditional as well as modern bows meeting SCA rules. No poundage limit. </DIV>
<DIV>3. You must never have won an archery tourney.</DIV>
<DIV>4. Any allowances made for handicapped archers will be at the discretion of the marshals and the sponsor. </DIV>

<DIV>Scoring</DIV>
<DIV>1 Royal Round followed by 1 topsy turvy end of 6 arrows in which the scoring values are reversed. </DIV>
