some of the calontir marshals concerning what type foam they have been using .

them in half, and glueing them together to give you a 4" thick 4' x 4'5" target
butt , which should stop everything we can shoot at it , before it tears up any

group of archers shooting double ikacs every sunday, and over half of them are
shooting red tassell or better, the grass butts wear out pretty fast, we've been
backing the targets with different types of foam , including the 2" x 2' x 2'
ethylfoam targets you can buy at the store, the 2" ethylfoam targets lasted
longer than any other foam we have tried, but it would have only been usable as
a stand alone target for maybe 2 weeks</FONT></DIV>

suppliers as well,but like you have not been able to deturmine the best foam to
stop bolts and shafts safely , and still keep it affordable .</FONT></DIV>

off just as many tips as the foam targets, iv'e been told it helps if you rub
car wax on your shafts , this is supposed to prevent arrows and heads sticking

tip keepers. The only thing more annoying than your fletchings getting
tore up a bit is losing half your tips in the target. As of this
point, the best targets I have ever shot at which do the least amount of
damage to equipment are the round grass butts like the ones Northkeep
has. They last a decent amount of time and arent really all that
expensive if the cost is split up amongst several people. It is
true that they are bulky and heavy and can be weather dependant but are less
so than the hay bales we often use (and lose crossbow bolts
