<DIV> As for competitions, that varies. If you are shooting IKAC (Interkingdom Archery Competition) you must use wooden shafts. If you are running a competition of other types, it is up to you what you allow. Many of us have allowed a new archer to shoot carbon, fiberglass, aluminum etc. for a "novelty" shoot (essentially anything that is not an IKAC).</DIV>
