Reminder:

Nominations for the guild head are open. Thus far, we
have one nomination, which is myself, Clara von Ulm.

Both nominations and discussion of the by-laws and
charter will close on January 1, 2005.

Voting for guild head and ratification of the charter
& by-laws will take place at Coronation on January 15,
2005. Of course, e-votes and absentee proxies are fine
for those who cannot attend.

Below please find the updated proposed by-laws and
charter.

As previously posted: The purpose of sections 1.2 and
1.3 of the by-laws is to give the dancers
of the guild a sense of togetherness, and to promote
awards in Middle Eastern dance. We could accomplish
the same goals through other means. For example, we
could come up with some sort of token, badge or favor
that we could wear. (I might like that idea more than
the proposed titles.) Does anyone have other ideas?
What do y'all think??

Kind Regards,

Clara von Ulm
