[Ansteorra-missile] Combat Archery Authorization]

Unfortunately the guidelines are such that new authorizations can only occur
at official SCA events (which include practices) that have the activity in
question. Re-authorizations have a little bit of leeway but only for an
authorizing marshal with first hand experience. Without actively working with
someone (preferably in advance and) at an event no one can authorize you. I'm
sorry that things were not worked out well enough for you to have this happen
before Gulf War. I had someone else contact me in a similar predicament Sunday
but there is nothing I can (or should) do about it.

I have been working with His Excelency Michael of Eldern Hills, but he hasn't
been able to see me on the field due to my lack of equipment.  And while I
understand that it wasn't a given that I would be authorized, I would say the
chances would have been pretty good as I've been shooting archery for some
time, and I've been studying up on all the rules, updates etc.  I had
originally hoped to get several practices in, but Combat Archery keeps getting
squashed due to site rules at the NR Fighter Practices.
