The last sentence states that Tennis Balls being used as combat blunts 

if overly firm may need to be punctured after mounting.

The question - there is no instructions on how much of a puncture this 

should be. In other words, does the individual just take a ice pick and 

poke a hole in the ball, or does this puncture required to be larger?

There is no instructions on "how much"  because that may be zero.  A

puncture is not required and if one is, then it needs to be just

enough.  Yeah an ice pick might be fine or ya may need a 1/4" drill bit.<br>

That is clear but it WRONG.  That needs to be corrected as it

contradicts SCA rules.  The SCA rules say:<br>

"<i>The balls may be perforated with a 1/4 inch maximum diameter hole

by drilling. To prevent their collapsing when<br>

stepped on, they may not be slotted.</i>"<br>

<br>

So our instructions for sling stones in in violation of SCA rules and

needs to be updated.  No slots/cuts and only 1/4".<br>
