The short answer is that Cut and Thrust Rapier (what used to be known as 
sidesword) has been officially approved as another style of rapier 
fighting. That means that we now have light rapier (i.e. and epees) heavy 
rapier (schlagers, Del Tins, etc.) and Cut & Thrust rapier.

The rules for C&T will be pretty similar to what was used for sidesword, 
but as of right now the final official version has not been posted. It 
*should* be showing up on the Society Marshal's webpage 
(http://sca.org/officers/marshal/combat/rapier/index.html) Real Soon Now.
