[Ansteorra-rapier] Greetings

Greetings to all. I hope this day finds you well.

I do not like to lurk about unseen, and so, if it pleases the populace I 
provide notice hereby that I have subscribed to Ansteorra-rapier, for the 
time being.

I once played at rapier with Ravens Fort, and indeed still reside in 
Huntsville. It was only for a short time in the common year of 1992-1993. I 
was known then as simply Walter of Ravens Fort, as I had not found a 
persona.

My wife and I have been fruitful, as one might say, and I now find myself 
with two boys in need of entertainment outside the house, the attainment of 
which would relieve their mother and younger sister of a great deal of 
stress. Likewise, I find myself in dire need of exercise although it is long 
since I have done anything useful with a blade.

To wit, I hope in the near future to reacquaint myself with the Society. In 
preparation thereof I have committed myself to research and humbly introduce 
myself, pending approval, as one Robert Rothbury, known as Eversbane. An 
Engliscman born on the Borders in the Year of Our Lord 1516. Through 
happenstance I served for a time as a page to the Percys, later joining His 
Majesty's forces, and lately retired. I now reside in London, this being the 
5th year of the reign of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth. I'm thinking of 
returning to my namesake and birthplace, Rothbury, just to see how the 
border fairs. It's a bit stifling here in London.

And, now that I've bored you quite to tears, I will return to the shadows 
and lurk.
